How does YouTube determine what they recommend you watch?

Well, since YouTube saves all your history from browsing, subscribing and favorites, it is able to make a good guess by counting to see which type of videos you have viewed more often.

If it sees that a new video has been uploaded that matches your viewing preferences, it will add this video to the "Recommended For You" section...
